It's not about me, it's about saving money.

Here's a selection of recommendations which I have found useful for my writing and or my pocket money.  I'll add to to it as I find new ones and would welcome anyone else's.

www.prink.co.uk   I found this site when I was desperate for ink, but short on funds.  It has answered my ink requirements on several occasions now and the quality is as good as the manufacturer's own, but at a fraction of the cost.

www.nanowrimo.org   I have been doing Nano for six or seven years and constantly delude myself that its easy.  In the most welcoming terms, its free, though donations are welcome.  All you have to do is write fifty thousand words in the thirty days of November.  There's forums filled with distractions and help as well as pet talks from better known writers.

www.writersfederation.org.uk   I am member, but yet to become a fully active one.  However their resources are excellent.

www.tyne-esk-writers.com   I have been a member of the Dunbar branch for a few years now and would urge all visitors to join a writing group.

www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/radio  Anyone who appreciates the written word should take time out to listen to the radio for more than just traffic news and music.  BBC Iplayer makes it easy to listen to everything from classics to new work, whether serialised or one off plays.

www.skye.co.uk  This is the general information site about the island.  For those looking for writing inspiration looking no further.
