It's not about me, it's about getting published

The pristine fully editted (Unlike this site or my book) manuscript sits on your hard drive.  It's a very proud moment, but there are several choices to make yet before we published.

Budget?

I know you are an artist, a writer, so why should you be thinking about such mundane things as budgets?  Because it's coming out of your pocket.  It also tempers what services are avaible for you.  So for this example I am going to set the budget at £100.  Let me tell you it's not a lot of money, but it can be done cheaper.

If you just like the idea of having a book out there in the ether, then it can depending on the size of your book be done for as little as thirty quid. (Pounds)  With the publisher I used that got you a proof copy and access to to their book cover creator and Amazon.com.  Pay a little more and then you get several websites, but we're getting ahead of ourselves.

We have our fictional one hundred pounds and that's it.

Do you want it published only on the internet, or hard copy?

For me there was nothing to beat seeing the real item in my hand.  So for me and this example it's going to be the real thing.  Though I am looking into this Kindle idea.

Hard Back or Paper Back?

For your first book I would suggest paperback.  ITS CHEAPER!

Still want to be a published writer?  Then read part three.
